The dietitians at the Kids Feeding Team play a leading role in the multidisciplinary service by providing assessment and treatment of babies and children with feeding difficulties and nutritional issues. Our dietitians use up-to-date evidence to ensure that each child is provided with the highest quality care.

Our speech and language therapist provides the team with the knowledge and the expertise of the anatomy of the throat and the swallow. They are able to assess and manage any type of swallowing difficulty in babies and children.

Our occupational therapists work hard to assess the child’s motor and sensory skills and strengths that affect the child's ability to feed. They are also experts in the behavioural and environmental factors surrounding mealtimes.

The physiotherapists in the Kids Feeding Team will encourage each child’s independence during feeding in terms of their physical abilities. They are experts in the muscle groups and neurological skills required for safe and effective feeding.

The psychologists in the Kids Feeding Team will reduce the psychological distress that your baby or child may be having during mealtimes and help with fussy eating behaviour and/or food aversions. They are experts in the behaviour of the mind and will use evidence based treatments to encourage a healthier and happier eating behaviour.
