What does BPS stand for?

The BPS stands for the ‘British psychological society’.

What is the BPS?

The BPS is a charity which acts as the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK and promotes excellent and ethical practice. The BPS supports the development and application of psychology through research, conferences and sharing of good practice.

Who does the BPS register?

Individuals can join the BPS if they have completed an accredited psychology degree. There are different levels of membership, including graduate membership and chartered. Our psychologists in the Kids Feeding Team are members of the BPS.

How does the BPS support the different areas of psychology?

The BPS contains a number of branches and divisions which can be joined through membership. Our psychologists may be members of the North West England branch, and they may also be members of the:
