Multiple food tolerance / allergy

Multiple food allergies can be common in babies and children. Multiple food allergies intolerances will involve having to remove more than one food from your baby or child to alleviate your symptoms and it can be difficult to determine what is causing their reaction. What are the symptoms of multiple food intolerances or allergies?

If your baby or child has multiple food intolerances or allergies it can be difficult to figure out what is causing their reactions. Your baby or child may be presenting with symptoms that you think are related to the food they are eating, but you are not sure which foods are causing the reaction or how to go about getting a diagnosis. Your baby or child may also produce symptoms inconsistently and the time period in which they present may change, which can be confusing for you and your GP. If your baby or child has a mixture of the symptoms above and they continue even after elimination of particular allergenic foods, they could have multiple food intolerances or allergies. It is advised you do not start to exclude foods or food groups following a suspicion your baby or child has a food intolerance or allergy as this can result in a restricted diet which is low in energy and nutrients. You may have been told by previous health professionals that your baby or child is normal and you have not received the help you think they need.
