What does RCOT stand for?

RCOT stands for ‘royal college of occupational therapists’.

What is RCOT?

RCOT is a professional body that represents the community of occupational therapy staff across the UK. The RCOT is a registered charity owned by the British association of occupational therapists (BAOT). They ensure that they meet the professional needs of occupational therapy staff in the UK.

Who can be a member of RCOT?

Membership is available to fully qualified occupational therapists, students, occupational therapy assistants as well as retired occupational therapists. The occupational therapists that work as part of the Kids Feeding Team are all registered with RCOT.

What does RCOT do?

The RCOT set the professional and educational standards for the occupational therapy profession at national and international levels. They work hard to promote the profession, accredited training courses, support research and training as well as give occupational therapists opportunities for continuing professional development (CPD).
